THE MUSIC
4:30 – 5pm David Rawcliffe

David celebrates the potent capacity of heart centred music from a variety of traditions to foster community, create spaces for us to better understand ourselves and to help teach us what it means to be human. He hopes that, in some small way, he can share and honour the songs, teachings and messages he feels so blessed to have received alongside and (hopefully) in harmony with the guitar.

5:30 – 6pm Hannah Lunar Rose

https://www.instagram.com/hannahlunarrose/

Hannah Rose is an English song gather and story teller with no fixed abode. She loves to collect songs and stories from times long past and help to keep them alive. In particular Hannah loves songs from Ireland and Scotland, especially in Gaelic. When first starting to sing in Gaelic it felt like a remembrance to her, a coming home. One of Hannah’s favourite things about sharing these ancient folk songs and stories is how potent they are at helping us to connect with our ancestors, in a unique way that she feels just isn’t possible in any other form.

6:30 – 7pm Alice May UK

https://www.instagram.com/ethramusic/

Songs from the earth, sung from the heart; Alice May is an acoustic folk artist inspired by myth, mystery and the poetry of pilgrimage. While exploring the UK in her campervan, she created songs inspired by the threshold of this transitional space. Her music is shaped by the mountainous landscapes, deep blue lochs and the stillness of the forest. She reflects on themes of belonging, ancestry and the mind-body-earth connection. In 2023 she released her first song ‘Selkie’ and has been performing at various festivals and venues since, often as part of the band ETHRA.

This 30-minute set will be supported with music and vocals from Ellie Parsons and Nick Shake.

7:30 – 9pm Kirtan led by Dom Hatcher

Dom started his Kirtan journey in 2018 after attending a friends Kirtan in London. The connection to deep seated emotions and feelings of devotion left an indelible imprint on his heart and a few days later he had bought a harmonium and started learning to play. Dom has been facilitating Kirtans in the UK since 2019, beginning with adding Kirtan into his Yoga Workshops and later stepping into leading Kirtan as a practice unto itself. Since 2019, Dom has led and participated in hundreds of Kirtans both in the UK, Europe, South & Central America and in India.

“Chanting is a way of getting in touch with yourself. It’s an opening of the heart and letting go of the mind and thoughts. It deepens the channel of grace, and it’s a way of being present in the moment.” Chanting breaks down the difference between the inside and the outside – join us for this fantastic Kirtan session to end your day at Wellnergy with a fantastic sense of community and a full heart!
